Crisu: Oh, I forgot to mention the VA's. Oh god, Elsa's accent was hawt ;)

Skh: You're the second person to say, to me, that FM3 was the better one overall. I'll have to check it out sometime.

Same here, I've been waiting for FM5 in english for years, but I will probably continue waiting forever.

FM4 was indeed excellent, and provided a strong challenge. But I also felt the difficulty was uneven: battles with the European team were usually harder than the ones with the South American team, mostly because the latter had a small team of guerilleros to fight with them.

Did you ever play Front Mission 3? Its graphics may be dated, but I think it's better than FM4, if only for its amazing two path storyline. Playing through it one time only is clearly not enough to fully appreciate the story.

I loved this game. ^^ Your post brings back fun memories of it. I've been waiting for FM5 in America all this time, but I guess it'll never come (since FM4 sales were rather low).

Indeed, I had to have two characters with healing units after a while, since keeping everyone healthy was getting quite challenging. But I had a lot of fun with sniping and close-range fighting. The smooth animation adds to all the excitement. That and Elsa's lovely accent. ^^;
