So, I was a little late on this, but I finally got my hands on a copy of Soul Nomad and the World Eaters. Oddly enough, I thought I had ordered it a while ago, but I forgot to finish the checkout. I finally found out when I went to preorder Mana Khemia. I’m one of the ones who get to get the figure ^^. I noticed that Soul Nomad was still in my cart.

Let me start out by saying that this is one of the better SRPGs that has come from N1, of course, in my opinion that doesn’t sound like much. Disgaea, even with its lovable story, was not a very good SRPG in my book. It just seemed like a big grindfest. The battle system wasn’t all that great either. It had almost no interesting quirks at all, unless you count geo-panel manipulation as interesting.

Yup, it’s finally here. The Devil May Cry demo has landed on XBL (for Gold members) and on the JPN PSN. The American demo may be up by the time I post this, but it doesn’t really matter. The JPN demo is almost entirely in English.

The demo comes with two modes; one mode where you start playing a certain section of the game for 10 minutes and the other which focuses on the boss fight against Berial. The fight with Berial is somewhat hard. It took me three tries to beat him XD. Maybe it’s because I haven’t played a DMC game since the first came out.

In my opinion, the fight with Berial is a lot more fun than the 10 minute mode although that mode teaches you some useful moves. I’ll probably grab this game shortly after its release, unless classes get in the way….

For those of you looking to see how the X360 and PS3 versions become, Dot50Cal from neogaf posted captures from both versions. The differences seem minute, though. You can see them here.

Ok, I’ll admit one thing straight up. The only reason I became interested in this manga was because of the cover. I couldn’t resist such a cute looking picture. To be perfectly honest, not only did I have no interest in this title before, but I had never even heard of it before seeing it on a ‘recent arrival’ list. I guess I should count myself to be very lucky since the manga is at least decent. Therefore, no lesson learned

I decided for this one that I would go with a little of a different style than my other impressions. It’s a bit more formatted this time so I hope that whoever reads it will enjoy. Many bothans died to give you this information, y’know.

Your eyes fool you not. That is indeed the Samsung SCX-4500. If you really want to know how much of a price I paid for that thing, you can look here. Yea, I’m such a whore ;___; It’s a good scanner, at least. Pretty fast and can do up to 4800 dpi (although, Windows won’t let me since it can’t allocate more than 4 GB of memory ;___; ) You can see an example below (resized from being scanned at 2400 dpi.)

This is a bit late, but I figured that some of you guys with PS3s might want to check this out. It’s the trailer for Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan which will most likely be brought into the States under the name Yakuza 3. Normally, I wouldn’t be so confident about Sega bringing this title over, but at the same time Kenzan was announced for Japan, Sega of America announced that Yakuza 2 would be coming. Now, I just need to find a copy of the first game so that I’ll know what I’ll be getting into….
