My Pokemans: Let me show you them
I finally got Pokemon Diamond in the mail a week ago. I expect posting and overall productivity to go down for a while. Here’s my current team:
- Yoachim: Monferno Lv. 25 (I spelled his name incorrectly
- David: Gyarados Lv. 24
- Lily: Budew Lv. 24
- Ark: Luxio Lv. 25
- Casper: Ghastly Lv. 23
- Grace: Psyduck Lv. 24
My player’s name is Yuri and I have 4 of the badges right now. Unfortunately for me, my college requires all devices accessing its network to register themselves. Unfortunately, the DS seems incapable of doing so, so I have no friend code now. Darn, and I wanted to take advantage of Japanese players, too.
Edit: Poster #2 told me how to do it. Kudos go to him. My friend codde is 2620 9204 5749

Cool, I got Pokemon Diamond too (I had also bought the Japanese version of Pearl when it first came out). Right now I’m working on transferring my pokes from the GBA games to the DS. I’ve also been battling and trading with friends online. That’s really a great feature, so it’s a shame you can’t get your friend code. But hopefully you will eventually =)

There is a way to get the DS online in college - I’m assuming that when you go online on your laptop, there is this webpage that asks you to key in your userid & password?
If so, maybe this mathod might work.
First of all, you need to get the MAC address of your DS. Info here - http://kb.wayne.edu/index.php?article=303 (Off note: What a cool uni! Registration for gaming consoles!)
Once you got it, you need to make your laptop pretend it is the DS, but giving it the MAC address of the DS. Info here - http://www.nthelp.com/NT6/changemacw2k.htm
After you have changed the MAC address, you just fire up your web browser and login as per normal. When you’re successfully on the net, remove the DS’s MAC address from your laptop. Start up your DS, and you should be playing with others in no time!
Do note, unfortunately, you might have to do this everytime you want to play, depending on how the network is set up (whether they make all devices register everytime they go online, or just once).

And in my stupidity, I just noticed that I mistakenly said that I had Diamond while the version I have is most certainly Pearl.
Yes, it won’t be until the semester is over (three weeks!) until I can finally do that stuff.
