Now, now. There is no need to cry for the loss of my wallet. It will all be better soon, I promise.

Being the philosopher I don’t claim to be, I can’t help but to think of the future. I can say that it looks very bleak for my wallet, especially since I’m still awaiting a certain paycheck that I had thought was coming sooner (although, it appears I miscalculated.) Nonetheless, I shall highlight some of the things I hope to acquire in the future.

The first thing one my list is Okami due to the fact that it is the thing that I have to wait the least for. When Okami was first announced, I was wowed by its graphical beauty. Even though I knew almost nothing about the game itself, I knew I wanted it if it ever came to America. Luckily for me, that will be in a few days. I even pre-ordered it on gamestop.com and got 2-day shipping. I’m not sure why I bothered, I haven’t been able to play my PS2 in a while due to classes (although, I somehow manage to make time for Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth.) Now that I know more about the game, I don’t regret the $40 or so dollars I spent on it a couple of days ago.

This transitions nicely to Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, a game that I haven’t ordered yet, partially because I thought it was coming out in October/November and partially because I wanted to finish Lenneth before moving on to Silmeria. Given how awesome Lenneth is, it should be a no-brainer why this is on the list, so enough of this item. Next!

You can’t tell me that this cover isn’t cute.
The next thing on my list is something I had just heard of an hour before I decided to make this post (and is also the main inspiration for making this post.) C’est Shugo Chara, liscensed by Del Rey. To be honest, the thing that attracted me to this manga was the cover art. It’s basically the same thing that happened with Stray Little Devil. Fortunate for me, it seems like it will take a while for Del Rey to release Shugo Chara in the States since it’s a relatively new series. It’s PEACH-PIT’s newest manga, so you know the art is nice. Here’s hoping that Del Rey can find it within their hearts to release the limited edition of volume one. I know it’s severely unlikely, but a man can dream…

Along those lines, I’m awaiting the Tokyopop release of Welcome to NHK!. I purposely avoided watching any of the subs for the anime just so I could be looking at the manga as new material. If its fans are of any indication, I should be pretty good.

At this point you may be wondering at this point why I put a tech tag on this post. I assure you that the thing I’m waiting for is not Windows Vista (although I am patiently waiting for Microsoft to release this OS so they can fix all of the bugs with the 64-bit version of Vista and apply a service patch or two so I can buy it to fully utilize my laptop that I should be getting in a few weeks with a Core 2 Duo T7600.) It actually has to deal with a pocket watch, the Russian Molnija Pocket Watch. I may have not made it apparent with my previous posts, but I must say that I have quite the pocket-watch fetish, especially with beautiful ones like this one. Furthermore, I got it for 27 GBP, so it seemed like a steal (although I’ll probably find out when I recieve it that it wasn’t really worth $50.)

Here’s something I haven’t been wanting for very long, the Shakugan no Shana Moeart PVC. I suppose the only reason I haven’t been wanting this for very long is because I had only learned about it a few days ago from ikimashou.net. The only reason I really want this figure is because it is based on my favourite picture from Guren. For more pictures, check ikimashou.

Last, but not least, is the most expensive item on the list (and thankfully not by much): FFXII: Collector’s Edition. Now, I don’t consider myself much of a FF fan; they’ve mostly been hit and miss for me. Of the ones I’ve played to some extent (1,2,4,5,7,9, and 10,) only 4,5, and 9 sat really well with me. 7 was good and 10 was mediocre. 1 and 2 just flat out sucked for me. I’m a sucker for collector’s editions, though, especially when they are only $10 more than the original version. I only wish that this came with the FFXII pocket watch that the Japanese Limited Edition came with.

This ends my long list of items I hope to acquire sometime in the near future (although, we probably won’t see the release of Shugo Chara anytime soon.)
